At Evergreen, we firmly believe that
there are many benefits in working with and around horses. While
these beautiful animals are lovely to ride there are many activities
involved in the care of the horse, as well as the upkeep of the
overall facility. If you are a horse lover and have some spare
time to volunteer we have many tasks in which you may help.
Help can often be tailored to meet
your schedule. You pick what works for you and most anything will
work for us. Please give Ingrid a call at 832-3738 to discuss any interest you may have in helping us out
and for information on upcoming special event dates where volunteers
are required. For more information of specific events and dates
see the Calendar.
Special Event Helpers
During our many shows throughout the summer months we are always looking
for extra hands and feet to help us. We have many diverse jobs
most which can be easily trained and which could include
Barn Helpers
If you like to work close to the horses and dont mind getting
your hands dirty than we have a fork and shovel with your name
on it. Barn helpers assist in cleaning stalls, watering horses,
sweeping, turning out horses (once trained), and more.
General Handyman & Maintenance Crew
These horses are large animals and are therefore often hard
on the facilities and equipment so that maintenance is never-ending
and always on-going. If you like to swing a hammer, dig some dirt,
mow the lawn, cut some wood, drag an arena, dump the trash, fix
and build jumps, we could always use the help.
Therapeutic Riding Assistants
Therapeutic Riding offers riding lessons to those individuals
that are physically or mentally challenged. If you are comfortable
in leading a horse, and helping with the grooming and tacking of
a horse you could be a great addition to our therapeutic riding
program. For more information with respect to this program please
